Who would’ve thought JoJo would grow up to be an advertising art director? As a child, she spent her time riding horses bareback through the woods. When she reached her pre-teens, her parents feared she would follow in the footsteps of Uncle Vito from Sicily. But it was at the tender age of thirteen that JoJo’s innate longings to make the world more beautiful surfaced. She began moving the furniture around in her room. She hung pictures of Paul Rand on her mirror. And she began drawing instead of talking to get her point across.
Now, more than two decades later, JoJo is indeed a seasoned advertising pro. She has worked with the best and the brightest in South Florida, on every account of note down here, from sub sandwiches to cruise ships. She has branded an entire network of cable stations, giving a distinct image to each member of the network family. She has worked long and hard, never failing to bring a positive attitude as well as talent to the drawing table. She manages people as easily as she manages deadlines. And she combines an in-depth knowledge of production processes with an unerring eye for design.
As you might expect, JoJo has won her share of awards, including a Clio and dozens of regional and national ADDYs. Her work has been featured in Step-By-Step graphics magazine and two books on advertising. More importantly, she has won results far above and beyond the expectations of her clients. For example, the direct mail piece that garnered a Clio also generated a 98 percent response rate. Unheard of? Not for JoJo. Her work is consistently unique, relentlessly original and always memorable. And because it is so simply good, it tends to stand out from the fray and communicate with a power that is simply irresistible. JoJo can even write headlines. Her only failing is an addiction to peanut M&Ms, the green ones, please.
In 2002 JoJo moved her business to a small ranchette on the outer reaches of West Palm Beach, to a little town called Loxahatchee. She brought her horse and two dogs, and never looked back. During this time while running milano.design, she has started raising and breeding Nubian Dairy goats, never intending to start another business, but with all the milk she was producing- over 2 gallons a day something needed to be done. So in 2007 Delilah's Dairy was conceived.
Given her vast raw talent and honed expertise, it is this little bit of nuttiness, that in the scheme of things, can easily be forgiven.
